Guilt by association

Just a reminder: a significant portion of Trump’s supporters:

  • Support the WWII internment of Japanese Americans, and
  • Believe whites are a “superior race”

They oppose:

  • The desegregation of the United States military (in 1948) and
  • The emancipation of slaves by Lincoln (in 1863).

As we try to understand Trump’s popularity, Occam’s Razor postulates that the simplest explanation is usually correct. Given the above political views of Trump voters, the most logical explanation is the Trump possesses a secret time machine and is importing voters from America’s past.

Okay, this is starting to seem staged

If I wanted to suffer an electoral loss unparalleled in American history, I’d spend a weekend savaging gold star parents and demonstrating my ignorance of global events while fueling rumors of my close relationships with Russian tyrants.

It appears that Donald Trump literally doesn’t known the meaning of “sacrifice.”

“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

Really? Importing foreign workers to depress wages was a sacrifice for him? The only plausible justification for this statement is that Trump believes he sacrificed his integrity when he affirmed to the U.S. government that he was simply unable to find Americans to work for him. But that’s unlikely, since it supposes that Trump had integrity.

Someone should introduce him to Donald Trump

You might think this quote is such a non sequitur that it must have been poached from a long-forgotten interview thought lost to the mists of time.

Wrong. Mike Pence said this TODAY (July 29, 2016). Has he met his running mate? At least now we know what the two men have in common: both are idiots.
